Wordle and Poll Everwhere Assignment

In this class, we have used the tools Poll Everywhere and Wordle. We first used Poll Everywhere to learn different things about the students in this class. I asked the what everyones' favorite color; it was a great tool and very easy to use. We also used the tool, Wordle. It was fun to group the words together, and I think that it would be great to use in a classroom setting.

Lesson Plan Ideas:
A teacher could ask the students to use Poll Everywhere to get to know the students better. Similar to what we did in this class, but to use it more detailed. At the end of the polling process, the students could present to the class their findings so they could better understand details about eachother. I think it is a great resource for students because it gives them a chance to do techonology learning but also have fun with it.

The two tools are could promote the future of classroom because it teaches them how to use technology. It is a fun way of learning to get the children interested. I think it could be used in any of the subjects.

  1. I think that your ideas sound great. The lesson that you suggest would be a great activity to do at the beginning of a school year. Students would get to know the other students that are in their homeroom and maybe form some friendships based on similar interests. I also agree that Poll Everywhere and Wordle are excellent classroom resources. In my opinion, students would respond positively to learning through using technology in the classroom. It is so much fun to use technology to engage students in the classroom.

  2. Very well said Tiffany. I agree with your statements. This kind of technology is best suited for classroom-based instruction. Plus it helps the students interact better with each other and is also beneficial to the instructor.
